Does Winter Stop You?

Does winter stop you from going out of the house as much or do you tend to find things indoors to occupy your time? I am looking forward to renovating my basement a bit next month.

nope i am forcing myself out door this winter walking to and from work, shovelling my own driveway...cause it makes you feel GOOD! all in the house get depressing i have found! I feel awsome! normally i get seasonal issues with winter,depression. BUt this year I am fighting it naturally OUTSIDE! fresh air and most important sunlight, i can notice a huge difference already.

Actually,I find it easier to be out about in winter(presuming the roads are halfway decent,etc.) than in the heat of the summer.As long as I am dressed properly,I find it rather enjoyable....ar at least tolerable.

No, winter makes me go more. I have spent about 8 hrs snowblowing mine and everybodies driveway. I went jogging in the snow yesterday too. I don't care if it snows or not.

I actually enjoy the workout I get from shoveling snow. But I do stay in more. I'm actually getting a lot more of my online university courses done since the summer ended.

In the winter I stay indoors a lot. I hate winter and venture out only when I have to.

I love it outside in the winter. But I'm too busy cleaning my house and fixing it up. We just ripped all our carpet up and I've got a ton left to do inside before spring comes and I start on the outside again.

I hate the cold..i can't stand it... it's not so bad once your out there for a bit, but i'd really rather stay inside where it's warm and not slippery

I have to use a cattle prod on myself to go outside.Not a winter person at all.
But I have to go out -Work etc.

I tolerate winter because I don't really have an alternative! I hate the driving, but as far as being outside, if you are dressed right, it can be quite refreshing and exhilarating.

I love the Winter but hate the cold! This year I have anice brand new skidoo suit so I will be out a lot more plus we are making a rink in the backyard so I'll be out teaching my daughter how to skate.

What a bunch of babies! Dress accordingly and get out there and enjoy it, try cross country or downhill skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, skating, curling, hockey.. whatever, just do it!

Hate the cold myself and if not for work and shoveling and the kids and the necessity to eat I probably wouldn't go outside much. I don't mind the milder days and I think the snow looks nice, at least till the plows and everything make it look all dirty.

I love looking at winter, unfortunately I can't be outside very much in it because of my lungs.
Love the morning sun on things, makes it all sparkle. Love watching the horses get silly and play in it.
I try to get out when I can but can't stay out there very long.

I love winter and the fresh fallen snow, it's the bitter freezing temperatures I could do without!

we make the best out of it by doikng as much as we possibly can cross country skiing, downhill skiing, snow machining. and not expensive, got all our equipment 2nd hand, not the newest and best, but it does us just fine. i hate the cold and having to get so dressed up - i much prefer summer, but by trying to keep really busy it makes us enjoy it alot more.

oh, and best of all, theres no flies when your outside in winter!
