Advice please

My 15 year old bought himself an electric guitar. I want to get him a music book with modern rock songs but a beginners level. My 9 year old is also getting an electric guitar for Xmas and I would like to get him a book.

Can anyone recommend anything??

The music stores usually have a selection of books, depending on what type of music they are interested in. Tom Walls Music seems to have a lot of books available.

However .........................


There are dozens of sites on the internet for people who want to learn how to play guitar.

They could download the chords, lyrics or tablature for just about any song they would like to play.

There are even guitar lessons on sites like Utube.

Might be better to get them a decent chromatic tuner if they don't have one, or a couple sets of strings.

Thanks!! I think I will take that advice!! My son was checking out the youtube vidoes yesterday as a matter of fact and said he was learning quite a bit!

Any music store in town would have some decent instructional books. You might want to check out amazon.com as well and search for instructional guitar book and dvd sets. You can find anything you want there from children's instructions to rock or any style for that matter. /ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
