That is awesome for the railway, now they should have these on stretches on the highway and roads. If sensors pick up that you are speeding, these things should POP right up and make ya stop/slow down! LOL

Does or should the city or government really need to spend "our" money on this? I mean they already have a gate that comes down what more do you want or need really? Now if you want to risk it by going around the gate then so be it. YOU take that chance why should tax payers pay because your stupid.

Tippi, when a person goes around a gate and gets smacked by the train, Who does the POLICE work? Whos AMBULANCE takes them to the hospital? Which HEALTHCARE pays for their stitches, surgeries and such? Which workers have to clean up the mess?

The cost of the police officers, ambulances, and health care in 1 accident probably is the same cost to install these.

Not to mention the potential hazard they cause when the car goes spinning when hit, and hits innocents people.

come on T you really think that it wont cost more to install them stupid things than to have the police and stuff show up at one accident. think about it.. the hydrolics of it, the digging up of the road, then the maintenance of it all, and holy frig, the winters we have i think they would freeze and not work at all causing more problems.

i know your all about the safety on the road, but they are right. if people are stupid enough to go around the bars then hell they deserve to get hit.

the way i see it is people who pull stupids like that and cause accidents from drinking and driving should have to pay for all the service used on that accident. might be another detterant from all the stupidness. i mean you have to pay for a utility pole, and the re-install if you break one why not the police and ambulance and fire dept services to
