90% of of downfalls in that list is personal choices. Why should everyone suffer for their personal choices.
I do see where they are comming from, but in the long run they are looking for a president who will sympathize with them.
I may come across as a mean old pri.ck here, but AIDS/ABORTION/WELFARE are all personal choices. And hand outs, in my mind, should not be given.
Toxic Waste/Gay Bashing/Racism, does have to be fixed on the other hand.

AIDS isn't necessarily a personal choice. Say you're with someone for a long time, they cheat on you, catch something and bring it home to you...did you choose that?
In a way yes, you choose to be with that person. I'm going to stop this early, because I'm a pr.ick when it comes to this, and I don't want any hard feelings left.
I will say that, 90% or higher of AIDS victims could have prevented the transmission.
Alot, know they have it, and still don't protect themselves from harming others.

I kinda think what it's saying is that people want leaders who aren't so "perfect" and who aren't afraid to be human, and say "hell yeah, I inhaled...I was 18, and that's what we did, but that doesn't mean I can't be a leader in office".....ya know?
I don't take it literally, but more as a general feeling of how the general public would appreciate someone like us with some flaws....

You're right. I'm just saying, it's not ALWAYS a choice.

No one is perfect especially a polititian.....I agree maybe a normal person with everyday troubles should be the choice! Not some stuck on themselves GOD wanna be!
See, it must be my rudeness comming out but what I got from the letter was that they wanted a "A Black Lesbia.n who had an abortion, with aids and lukeimia who has been fired and on welfare" to run the country.
I understand the "not so perfect" president, but you could just say that.
There is a huge difference between, a not so perfect person, compared to the ones listed in that letter.

Hahahahahaha....I just decided to interpret it not quite so literally.......
That's my downfall. I see everything in the literal sense.
The whole HALF FULL HALF EMPTY thing I don't see at all.

Why would they want someone who was deported to be their president? lol

I'm still wondering how a lesbi.an/ga.y could have an abortion? Doesn't that defeat their purpose in their lifestyle choices?

That's ok....there's room for both ways of thinking...and that's why I labelled it food for thought......because it does make you think about it!

Unless it was a woman who had a sex change to be a man but still had the female...stuff...and got pregnant by her/his male partner?

Sorry but i didn't focus on those thing I just read the letter and got that out of it...I don't think racial ways or stereotypical ways at all...just normal
I don't see the glass half full, or half empty.
I analyze the situation, was it empty when it started? Then it is half full!
If it was full when it started, then it is half empty!
Like when you go to the gas station, assuming your tank is empty! It takes about $100 to fill your tank, but you only have $50, so then, the tank is half full!
If your tank is full, and you drive around, do some shopping, run some errands, and you get into your driveway and your gas tank is on HALF. It is now HALF EMPTY.
No positive or negative, just the direction to there it is going!
hey EW....great food for thought.

"I want a candidate who is not the lesser of two evils"
That's a good point, IMO.
