I'm getting a message when I open Sonic My DVD that states it has detected that DMA is turned off, it's been working fine till now no problems and when I check it DMA is NOT dissabled. any ideas out there?

Try making a quick document and then drag and drop it to your burner. This will let windows handle the burning and will let you know if its a burner issue or a Sonic issue. If it works ok, then try reloading Sonic.If it doesn't work,try turning the DMA off, applying the change, then turning it on again. If that doesn't work, try disconnecting the power and IDE cable to the drive, boot up your system, shut it down again, and reconnect the drive. Let us know how that goes.
