I'm taking mine down today, it takes up a lot of room. I'm never one to leave it up for months after Christmas.

Mine comes down anytime after January 1st. It's not in the way at all and it looks so purdy.

first week of january whenever I have time.

I Love Love Love mine, and it's not in the way so I'm in no hurry.

It does look a little empty without presents under it now though.

Normally I leave mine up until after New Years but after having my son, my nephew and 2 of his cousin's play with his new kitchen set that we bought him that was sitting not too far from the tree and they kept running into it.... it came down last night after we put them to bed.

We took the rest of the decorations down today while they were down for a nap.

My tree came down yesterday morning about an hour after all the present where opened. I have a 16.5 month old that WOULD NOT STOP play with the tree and a cat that would try to play with everything that was on the tree. I couldn't wait to take it down.... So ya i had mine down and put away by 10 am Christmas day.

Thats one of the joys of having a geriatric dog, mind you she has been a great one so I'll help her out in her old age.

I thought about that, too. My 200 lbs Dane is scared of the lights on the tree. He spent the last 2 weeks sleeping in our hallway and pacing around whining.

My tree came down yesterday afternoon. There is not one shred of evidence Christmas ever happened in my house...other than the stacks of toys in every corner /ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/whistle.gif

Mine will come down probably my next weekend. Unless I get really bored and annoyed at it. There are still unwrapped gifts under the tree, so it can't go down yet.

I took it down as soon as the last present was opened!

The house looks so bare after you take everything down..its depressing! So far so good for us with regards to the pets leaving the tree alone *knocks on wood* Only two small incidences..one of the Danes got too close with their tail wagging and swiped everything off that part of the tree lol and Penny grabbed one bulb but when it hit the floor it scared her and she hasn't touched the tree since.

I never said that my pooches don't have free run of the house...the exact opposite is true actually...and I wouldn't have it any other way. /ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

and I'm pretty sure that goes for other pet owners too ..what I've seen anyway. They can all say otherwise here but I know better.
