Cant seem to get music on my ipod, getting usb error.Any ideas?

you are using the itunes software, right?

hmmmm...nope first time trying to do anything with it. I thought you could put any tunes on it. Do i need the itune software to put tunes on it.

yes, you need to install the itunes software that came with it. after that you can put any music that you want to on it.

all you have to do is drag any mp3's that you have on your computer into the interface. you can also put a cd in and the software will convert and load tunes from it.

Do a search on the internet mp3 to itunes, there are many programs that convert normal mp3s to itunes and will dump them onto your ipod for you.

mp3's in itunes are still the same mp3's..only difference is that itunes puts them on your ipod using a ridiculous complicated file system. Those pieces of software which you're talking about know that file structure used on ipods, and are a substitute for itunes.

complicated? it's drag and drop bro. unless you're talking about the actual coding of the stuff.
