Next GH installment is going to be completely full of aerosmith tracks. Sure doesnt make for a lot of diversity., but aerosmith does have a pretty huge catalog.

They sure do. I think there's enough tunes from them to make 3 or 4 games. lol

In all honesty though, I'm not a big Aerosmith fan at all.

dont get me wrong i like quite a few of their songs, but i see this as being another Rocks the 80's... 45 tracks or less, no bonus song and most likely no DLC.

i agree, i dont think the fun factor would be very good, but its also going to depends on the charts and the difficulty of the charts... i prefer challenging charts myself.


There's also been two other games announced for this year, although no titles yet, one of them is going to be guitar hero 4.

This game doesn't make any sense. Sure Aerosmith is an alright band that's been around forever but I don't think the songs are going to translate well into a full game. I mean what are they going to use for a last song? None of the Aerosmith catalogue screams "boss song" to me.

Seeing as how the Metallica song pack is the biggest seller for Rock Band they should have used them, then we would have at least a variety of slow and fast songs instead of Aerosmiths slow and slower song's. Hell even a Alice in Chains version would have trumped this game with variety.

Hahaha..... I totally agree with you on that one man. Although I think that a band-dedicated game is kind of lame to begin with, Metallica would definitely be a better and possibly more popular way to run with the idea. I think what is truly needed is Hardcore Metal version of GH that includes Pantera, AC/DC, Metallica, Megadeth, Lamb of God, Shadows Fall, Godsmack, Tool, As I Lay Dying, Killswitch Engage, Faith No More....... well you guys get the point I'm sure. /ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

i think i'll be downloading Aerosmith for my ps2, that way if it sucks i wont feel so bad, cuz its not like i'll have wasted money on it.

the Aerosmith song is "Dream on" kinda slow, don't think i'll be getting it, and if I do it's only cause it's free lol
was released on XBox Live today apparently and Playstation Network on the 18th

both, read the article. not sure how much longer they're gonna keep makin em for ps2... as long as they do, i'll keep downloading em... learned my lessong buying gh3 for the pc... [censored] mowed me good. i had a perfectly good pirated version that i had beaten in one night... but noooooo. i needed to play online and have DLC... funny how it turns out that the online sucks because people rarely play (especially on expert) and now im being boned out of DLC. AWESOME..

Thats what i get for supporting the developers... [censored] those guys, im going back to downloading... at least i dont get screwed.. if it sucks, i delete it... if i do play it long enough to beat it, most games arent worth the money, especially not after what i've put into my computer.

gee rich, you and apple should get together.... seems like you both enjoy to make public displays of pirating software. i wonder why soonet is sooooo picky about talking about other businesses, but they wont do anything about blatant theft of copyrighted material.

And normally i dont make "public" displays of pirating - in fact i usually keep it on the downlow, but my frustration with getting screwed on the games i do actually buy is just too much.

Also, i like the idea of trying before buying... if its an incredible game, i'll consider buying it, or if i want to play online.. but i spend so little time gaming that im lucky if i have the time to make it through the single player campaign of a game, let alone spend any considerable amount of time playing online.

I would love to see a GH: AC/DC. They have some kickin songs and most of them are classics. I would love to see what Thunderstruck, Shook Me All Night Long, and TNT would look like.

It does say it includes songs from those who have played with or inspired them, so there may be a bit of variety other than ALL Aerosmith /ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif I am looking forward to trying it.
