The best part about this review is that they run a 3870X2 with a 3870! I was gearing up for a second 3870, but my sights are definetly set on an X2 now!

Nice to know it takes 2 ATI GPU's to best my single G92 GTS.

Great review but I was upset that Crysis wasn't in it, I mean you only need 3870's in Xfire for a game that big.

No point for the money, your single GPU 3870 is strong enough....and I think getting a twin is better than going to a dual GPU as a future upgrade.

Ummmm..... guys, that article I linked is about running a 3870 and 3870X2 TOGETHER in crossfireX which means 3 gpus pounding out the pixels. It's not about swapping out a single 3870 for the X2 version.

I'm sure we're on the same page, but the conversation evolved, it's not that far off track...you gonna pull a Maxwell on us? lol

Hahahahahaha...... no I definately won't do that! I just wanted to make sure everyone was on the same page with what that review was about lol. Don't mind me.

Ya I know but he, verotik667, was just contemplating whether it would be worth it to go to an X2 or Xfire.

You guys should get together to test a Xfire setup...lol.

If I wouldn't get shot by the ol' lady for it, I'd like to go to Future Shop and buy an X2 to toss in with my 3870. Screw the trade up.

i have two 3870, so yes i wont be upgrading to the x2 on one of the 3870 i already have, i am quite happy with the performance i already get.

the article tested a single 3870, two 3870, and a 3870 + 3870x2 combined

so it is relevant i have a similar setup and was just saying not going to spend the money on x2 replacing one of my 3870
