Can anyone tell me what the deal is when the brake light comes on and flashes 9 times, pause, 9 times, and so on, I have checked all the brakes and do not see any problems, is this some kind of code? it well stay off for awhile if i reset by disconnecting the battery, any insight would be great, thanks Mike

It is a either a short in the system or some sort of messed up code.. Usually the only codes i have seen have been on the instrument cluster in the dash. I will call my dad and ask him for you!!

Most likely a short he said he has never seen codes come through brake lights. They are usually the check engine lighes on the dash, and you have to jump the data wire with a paper clip or something along thoes lines.

thank you very much for your help, i got all the code thing figured out for the check engine light, just when my brake light started flashing it was something new to me and i could not find anything in the books, thanks again for your input and have a great day, Mike
