its about time intel steps in ...

heck it wouldn't surprise me if they even beat nvida and ati/amd ....

intel has some impeccable resources and a solid R&D team ...

well seems like the cpu's are taking a break for now.,,,so lthat leaves room for graphic cards to sneak in, then it will be RAM will skyrocet then video cards will have to scale up . then ram will go up .

They are always developing CPU's and newer technology, it would be devastating for Intel "take a break" from engineering CPU's, specially when they are venturing into a new market.

There is no logic or fact to your statement...

does this mean the end of offboard video cards?it would be nice if it did. it would be nice to just plop more ram and a new processor(gpu in that same package) to get the latest and greatest in gaming.

Same difference, your still upgrading...besides I think their GPU's are going to be standalone, not integrated into the CPU's just yet, as they are doing for mobile units ( laptops & cellphones ect).

I do think they are integrating PPU's (physics processing unit) into their GPU's though.
