The cover of the April 21 issue of Time took the famous Iwo Jima photograph by Joe Rosenthal of the Marines raising the American flag and replaced the flag with a tree. The cover story by Bryan Walsh calls green “the new red, white and blue.”

Donald Mates, an Iwo Jima veteran, told the Business & Media Institute on April 17 that using that photograph for that cause was a “disgrace.”</div></div>

These global warming clowns now are willing to insult soldiers who died in WWII just to advance their cause. Truly sad.

Did you watch "Flags of Our Fathers"? The gist of it was that the pic was a big set-up anyways.

It may very well have been a setup. Name a picture that isn't.

Making a mockery of a symbol of the deeds of true fighting men is OK?

Tacky? Yes.

Insulting? Maybe.

SOP American media? Definitely.

Sigh...keep clinging to the past and complaining about the changes.
Well. The times, they are a'changing.
Despite all the objections and protestations, nothing bad ever came fom cleaning up your room.

This isn't about complaining about change.

Taking a military battle that helped end WWII and equating it with the "fight" against global warming is a major insult to military men.

"Cleaning up your room?" Hardly.

Some of us take things less seriously than others. Now, if they had asked where Waldo was....

but it represents something that really happened and means something to this day. Global warming, well, it doesn't.
