computer keeps turning off on its own

My husband's computer will turn off on its own for no reason. He will be surfing the net and the computer will just shut off. It only does this when he surfs the net, when he plays his online racing game there is no problem. Any suggestions as to what is wrong?

could be several things start first to see if your browser is hijacked.

Has it been doing anything else odd at all? Does it give any warnings or errors before it shuts down, or does it just quit?
Does it turn back on again, or do you have to wait a bit?

Most likely bsod + automatic reboot. I suggest you turn of automatic restart and then try to make it happen again.

Not really sure what he did, since I don't know much about fixing the computer but I think he was saying it was his video card but not really sure. Sorry I wasn't much help, but thanks for the replies.
