Can anyone recommend a Massage Therapist?
Every morning when I wake up my lower back feels like someone stabbed it and the knife is still in there. After 20 mins soaking in a hot bath it loosens and I can at least move. Takes a cple hrs before the pain subsides.
Any recommendations are appreciated.

Mane Street Spa has very reasonable prices and they also have hot rocks that are great for sore muscles. Here is the link Massage HERE (http://www.manestreetsalonandspa.com/massages.html)
It is for men or women(I'm not sure what your gender is) in case your wondering.
Go see Rod Myers you need a chiropractor not a massage therapist and he is one of the best..
Luv to be on the GO

Corrie Oja! She's awesome.
Massage therapy can work better than chiropractic care if it's the muscles which it sounds like. They can also advise you on how to avoid muscle problems by using simple stretches, etc. If it hadn't been for my massage therapist I'd probably be a wreck again.
Good luck with the sore muscles.

i would actually do both, chiro and massage
dr scott, DC, on corner of queen and church, cyndi singleton is the massage therapist there, (i go to her) and she's good
Personally I think you need to see a doctor.
I went for chiro treatments for over a year and found out after that it was only making my problem worse.
If you haven't had x-rays it would be in your best interest to do so.

A MD cannot do, what a DC can.
A MD has very little to offer when it comes to the frame and it's mechanics.
And surely, a MT can not, as well.
A MT can work all they want, if there is a misalignment, with little success.
Every world class athletic enjoys the luxury of a MD and a DC to keep there body tuned and balanced.
They look after different thing.
Dr. Myers can help you in a way that you might not understand, if you have never gone to a DC!

You are absolutley right about Myers!! Recently I had pains in my right side that started in Dec. After numerous trips to Emerg, thinking I had bladder infections, appendicitis, hernia's, cysts on my ovaries etc...I just found out that it is the psoas muscle which is the muscle that comes from the front of the spine, down into the front pelvic region. I never even knew there was such as muscle!! This diagnosis also came after a series of tests ordered from my GP. My doctor ended up just dismissing it.
Dr. Myers gave me a minor adjustment as well as an exercise regimen to follow for a couple of weeks to help in healing that muscle.
Not only did he diagnose this, but he also diagnosed alot of different things in the past that my doctor couldn't and didn't.
My hubby also just recently suffered a ruptured disc a couple of months ago. Myers was able to diagnose that almost immediately and help in complete recovery when the only other option was surgery in which there was no gaurantee of a complete recovery. He healed in a month and a half where as it usually takes at least 6 months or more.
Always remember, anything to do with muscles, joints, etc..doctors can only diagnose so much. This is what Chiropractors are trained specifically for. Myers is very knowledgeable and knows what he is talking about and he will take the time to explain it to you and suggest ways for you to assist in the healing as well.
