I asked him what this all meant. How is that going negative, or ruining the thread?

Have we got to the point that even asking you guys to defend your own post is now an attack???

Soundbear

Conkat is right. This proof you don't actually read (or listen).

Boy, do you ever flounder without Werner to do all your work for you.

Soundbear

Oh, I know why I posted it. You are blind, that's all.

Just wondering, Rwgr. How do YOU like to be treated?? Why don't you spell it out, so that we will all know what you expect?
Then we can all act just the same towards each other, especially our brothers in Christ.

Tell us.

I like to be treated like an omniscient god-like figure who can shoot fire from his fingertips and conjure up Brady Bunch episodes from Season Three by simply willing it.

On certain days, not often, I like to be treated like a watermelon on a picnic blanket on a scalding-hot beach in southern Ontario, surrounded by ravished Norwegian tourists wearing tight eight dollar t-shirts bought from an Esso gas station in Orillia.

As you can see, I'm just a normal, everyday guy.

Not a brother in Christ??

soooooooooo Gods design is Man and woman?? then reproduction is the key to Gods design. or else if Human race stops reproducing thats bad?? and evil?? what if we are an alien experiment that needs to reproduce for the higher alien creators of us? and they are bad? so in essence its bad to reproduce and better to go with same sex?? just a thought.... think of it flopped backwards
after all isnt life about sending your jeans on and on and not to put them to a stop? so what if this is wrong really??

jaydee
05-21-2008, 11:04 PM
what if reproduction is WRONG in the long run?? what if what we are feeding is bad or what not, and the Devil is just enjoyment and God is just a sacrifice youre life away for nothing?

jaydee
05-21-2008, 11:08 PM
so then life is just a tease to be nice but not fully enjoy yourself? to the utmost make use of yourself? and why is sloth a cardinal sin?? so if we were meant to work we should be hired anywhere!!! and no pickiness or discrimination... i know the human body is meant to work or else we would be in spirit form

Soundbear
05-22-2008, 08:17 AM
This is a true statement: "Find a job you love and you'll never work a day again."

If somebody else works to pay YOUR way through life, that's sloth.

Next time you are in a group of people, look around and ask yourself who YOU would hire to work for you. Be honest. Would you discriminate? You bet you would, if you wanted to stay in business. People go INTO business because they love it, and they want to STAY in business.

I'm pretty sure you can figure it out from that if you can't find a job.

Hmmmm, Barry posts a beautiful video clip with a positive message and some look for ulterior motives. Just because animosity and arguments seem to be the norm on here, can't ya just accept for what it is instead of looking for negativity??

This isn't the first time an inspirational or beautiful post has been subjected to this nastiness and I suspect it won't be the last. Which is a pretty sad commentary on religion if you can't see past the differences to see the beauty of the common aspects.

Is it any wonder that so many have given up on posting on this board?? And no wonder that "religion" has a not-so-nice connotation to so many. Who would be attracted to it with this kind of nonsense being all too prevalent??

Moochi's patron siant, I guess.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belphegor

Ya learn something new every day. Here's one for you, Moochi:

“And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet [are], and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.” (Re 20:10 AV)

I'd expect the devil and his boys will be swimming in fire suits for a long, long time, and much too busy to bother little old you.

The truth is that catholicism never banned marriage for priests. A pope in and around 600 AD decided that priests should not get married... which pretty much made little boys suffer since then.

Question: Are there more molestors in the ranks of priests than any other profession?

Check it out.

Braccarius

I would expect the "priestly" population would fall well within parameters of other standard professions. The difficulty is that the church has been very evasive in even acknowledging such abuses until VERY recently. Not only that, a priest is in such a position of trust that any offense is seen as the gravest of betrayals.

I am not saying that the catholic church has not received bad press but they certainly do not make things easy on themselves. They take an almost "denying the holocaust" perspective on child molestation pretending that if it does not exist they do not have to make amends.

Soundbear
05-30-2008, 08:36 AM
Numbers of molesting priests are actually among the lowest in the professions.

But the problem is indeed the way the church handled it.
