I have windows Vista now when I turn on the comp I sign in and for the last 2 days an error comes up......The visual styles could not be applied access is denied. What does this mean?

re you runung any programs that change your theme or anythign like that or are you just using a basic theme that came with vista?

Sounds like a widget may be either corrupt, or was nuked by an update. Try reloading your widgets, or replacing them with something similar.

Hmmmm hemi I did download a screensaver site but thats it. I deleted it yesterday.

if you deleted it yesterday, was the next time you rebooted the same time it started giving the error?

if you're familiar with msconfig i'd check there and see if theres an entry for what you installed, otherwise try a system restore and uninstall it again

Tried both hemi and still popping up.
