I am just trying out the macro mode on this camera. It always amazes me at how well these digital cameras can do macro work right out of the box. With a 35mm system, you needed bellows, extension tubes, magnifying filters, etc.

Now I was hand holding these photos and quickly trying to figure out the closest I could focus. Nothing too formal. I didn't even use a copy stand or tried to control the lighting.

The letter E from scrabble (odd item found at work)

A crop from a 2005 Terry Fox Loonie. I am very impressed with this.

And a bonus. I was thinking this could make a good background wallpaper for someone. So here it is...not macro related...just water droplets on a window.

Still playing around with the new toy.

Nice shots. I think one can have the most fun with macro work.
