HA HA HA HA!!! . your kidding me right? you declare war on a country, and when you kill the enemy you dont get upset by it. i think bush is upset because of how easy it was to do or that now he's really got nothing left to do.Conquering Iran or N Korea isnt gonna be near as easy, if it even can be done.

"The Object of war is not to die for your country, but to make the other [censored] die for his."
Not really. The object of war is to make your enemy change his mind.

Sun Tzu states "Victory is the main object in war. If this is long delayed weapons will be blunted and morale depressed." In addition he states, "When the army engages in protracted campaigns the resources of the state will not suffice." "There has never been a protracted war from which a country has benefited".By the very nature of the War on Terrorism, it is a protracted struggle and seems to greatly diverge from Sun Tzu's strategy. However, Sun Tzu recognizes that war is always constant and does not necessarily need to be represented by force on force military actions, but includes ongoing diplomatic, economic, and psychological battles.

The main failing in the war on terror is that only one country has dedicated itself to winning that war. The rest of us are sitting on the side lines and hopeing that everything turns out OK. Evil is allowed to prosper when good men do nothing! Its time that the rest of western civilization sees the danger and reacts to it appropriately, thus far we have done very little to assist in this fight.

Seems to me the self-serving actions of the USA started it. If I had my way, we wouldn't be helping at all.

Too bad the USA doesn't get this.
"Kill 'em all and let god sort them out" is the current, and now escalating idea. About a year from now we'll see just how smart that is.

Why give it a year, thats what ppl were saying a year ago, and guess what, [censored] is hitting the fan as we speak. the extremests are gettin worse and worse.
World markets react positively to Bush's speech:
"Amidst the expected chorus of pundit pessimism about the President’s new Iraq initiative, world financial markets are voting for Bush—not against him.
Yesterday, before the speech, stocks went up, while oil and gold both went down.
Today, when trading opened after the speech, stocks went up and oil and gold went down.
All three are political and war risk barometers. It’s a very important vote of confidence for Mr. Bush."
And Cyberfox, let me save you some time and effort:

The rules of engagement set due to public opinion are whats responsible for the "mess" if you want to call it that.
The "self serving" actions of the US is called self defence! They did not start the islamic extremeist mission against the infadels. It has been a mind set since before the US became the US.
The nato actions on the fringe of ****stan is a prime example of how to control a border. If it moves in blow it up or shoot it. THis will bring stability to the country. In the Anbar province of Iraq al queda has reportedly developed this province as their base of operations. Simple solution, carpet bomb the whole f ing province. When nothing is left alive in that area then we will see a large drop in the bombings, murders and attacks.
Also the US needs to remove the Iranian regime from power, in the mean time they need to stop all trafice from crossing that border, completely stop all trafic in from Iran and we will see hostilities drop drasticly in Bagdad.
All of these solutions will be very very bloody, and come with a great loss of "possibly" innocent lives. But it will solve the problem and it will also show the extremeists that we are serious about this war.
Without dealing with this reality now and pulling the troops out we will see an unimaginable loss of life in Iraq. Iran will occupy Iraq almost instantly, they will fund their jihad with the oil reserves of Iraq and then put imense preasure on all of the moderate arab states to join them or die. This is pre WWII germany all over again and I am astounded that you lefties would make the same appeasment mistake again.
There is however a part of me that would like to see Bush throw his hands in the air and begrudgingly pull every single US servicemen home. Withdraw every bit of military power back to us shores and then watch as the world self destructs.
