My daughter was in that a few times. It's a great cause and they always had a lot of fun.
I hope they beat their numbers from last year again. They have generally managed to keep it growing as a fundraiser, and have contributed a lot to cancer research.

It is definitely growing. I can actually remember when it started as nothing more than a candle light vigil honoring those that were lost to cancer. I am glad it's grown into smoething more that still truly honors those original intentions.

I'm in full support of any charity, even if it means not sleeping and listening to the music all night.

Warm night + cold beer + good music = nice evening

Ok, here's a few answers for peeps!! Yes, it was the Cancer Relay for Life. Fricken AWESOME event!! I believe the first band was the Reptiles, and the last band was Big Suit. They sounded a bit like rock and roll. Very good!!
I encourage everyone to think about putting in a team next year. The event is something you will never forget, and will move you beyond words. It is a priveledge and an honor to be there amongst such strong survivors, or amongst the memory of those who succumbed to the disease.
I have been a participant for 3 years, and will continue to participate for many years to come. Even if you don't put a team in, people are welcome to come and walk until 11 pm. I highly recommend it. We've all been affected by cancer in one way or another, and I feel like walking for 12 hours once a year is the least I can do to be a part of this worthy cause.

/ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/high5.gif /ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/beerchug.gif to everywoman. My Mom was taken by cancer in 1991. I should be part of this event to, and will try to be there next year.
