John Metheany is showing 100 of his works of art at the Art Gallery until July 3rd.

During the show, he will be on a scaffold painting a FORTY FOOT PAINTING.

This is an extraordinary event at the Art Gallery. The artist is also selling 3 paintings by silent auction and donating the proceeds to ARCH - the community hospice about to open soon..

A retrospective of 100 works that span over 40 years

June 5, 2008 through July 5, 2008

Metheany is a well-known figurative and abstract painter who has taught art at all levels for close to 50 years in the United States and Canada. His works are included in public and private collections throughout North America. Compositions in private collections alone number over two thousand. Metheany's reputation is based on his unique style of landscape paintings in oil.

A forty foot landscape mural on canvas will be created by Mr. Metheany during the month of the show. The public is invited to watch the artist at work during regular Art Gallery hours and to view over 100 of his original works.
