I have a friends cat here at my place I decided to take her for the night because we think she's going to die sometime tonight. I figured it would be better to take her home with me so they wouldn't have to see her die (their pets are their children) So right now I have a cat laying on my kitchen floor barely moving she lets out the odd little sound and tries from time to time to roll over. She is throwing up and just laying there eyes open staring off into space. I feel so bad for her I don't know what I can do for her /ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

She is 13. Don't know what's wrong with her she's just been slowly winding down for three days now. She stopped eating two days ago and started eating cat litter. Yesterday she would place herself in front of her water dish and just sit there staring at the water. Today she can't move she's very dehidrated and when she does manage to get to her feet she takes two steps sideways then lays down

She just passed /ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif What i'm not getting is she just died and rigor mortis has already set in I didn't think it was suppost to happen for at leat 3 hours. I don't think I can pick her up like that /ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif At least she isn't suffering anymore.

Sorry everyone for the sad topic just having a bit of a hard time here dealing with it on my own. I've never gone through this before.

oh no, how sad. sounds a bit like teddy after he was poisoned.

that poor cat did need to see the vet, and be properly euthanized so she didnt suffer or treated if possible. but if they couldnt afford it, then just enough to euthanize so she didnt suffer.

They tried calling around to get some help to have her euthanized but no luck. I unfortuantley am in the same boat as them right now or I would have paid for it. I did the only thing I could do took care of her so they didn't have to see her die and stayed with her and kept her as comfy as possible.

Wish there was some kind of health care for pets for times like this. It's been making me think about my two pets when it's their time I really hope I'm able to help them.

prairie i think the cat passed already.
poor thing. sounded possibly like a blood clot to the brain.
R.I.P. you are with all the other critters who have since passed.
it's a good place where there is no pain.

Yep, I know the cat has passed. I posted the link for the next time, in case they need assistance. Trying to spread the word.
