Mine was out for 2 hours this morning. Reset didn't work. It eventually came back later. Grrrr....

I have had mine since the first day it was available here. I had only 1 issue where all I had to do was reset it but it was cause of a power outage on my part..LOL(long story). Other than that it has been smooth sailing and only $39.95 with no extr charges for long distance. Beats paying Ma Bell $90 a month

we have never had a problem with ours...i would not change it for anything...now if we could just stop all the we want you back letters from bell...i think we are up to at least 10 in the 3 months since we switched

You betcha but I signed up for it already, so I'm hoping I will be happy with it!
It's not the end of the world though if I didn't like it, I could always switch back.

Question: When the phone craps out, does the internet too??

I just signed up for it too... there coming on Saturday to install it all, etc.
And i decided to drop ExpressVu too... so with the basic phone, and digital cable, with a month or two free movie channels, its only $90, opposed to me paying $86 for expressvu, and $45 for the phone with bell... saves me like $50 a month... good for the high gas prices. lol

My BELL phone always works ....25 + years and never had a problem with it.
As much as I like SHAW for the internet I would not go with their phone. I need a phone that works 100% of the time.

You must be doing it wrong. ( i kid i kid) We've been with Shaw since day one in the Soo and haven't missed a second of operational phone.

It seems to me that the more recent installations are the ones crapping-out.

I guess you would have to define "recent".
My friend has had shaw phone since March. It's been out 5 or 6 times and sounds like he's talking through a tin can sometimes.
They are great about sending a tech out, but can never find anything wrong.
He keeps it though because he has a bell hate issue.

We got shaw installed here. Its dropped a few calls but thats about it. I hope thats all that happens, especially when I'm on the phone with the call centers at 5.

This must be why everyone with Shaw phone is having a problem. Thank goodness I have Bell.

Either I'm an island to myself or the article is inaccurate. We have never lost service from Shaw. Not yesterday or any either time since January.
