Thats pretty good. I had my torrent speeds jump up to as high as 1.8 Mbps. It wasnt sustained for a long time but it was still impressive

same here, ive seen 2 for a VERY short time. but i always get the full 1.2-1.3 for every torrent

hans you just need a new site and you should always see those speeds

What site do you get your torrents from? Also, any special setting on UTorrent that you'd reccomend to achieve those speeds?

I use public trackers only. Just look around for a good seeded torrent and you are good to go.
That and make sure you have your ports opened properly if you are using a firewall.

i use a private site. i pay for VIP access which allows a no ratio scenario. every torrent is as fast as it can go.

Yea I already do that, but the most I can ever attain is about 650-800kbps.

Those are good speeds comming from a public tracker.

Well I upped my internet to Shaw Extreme to be able to achieve those speeds. However, seeing the speeds some people get is rediculous and I'd love to be able to achieve them. The most I've achieved is 1.2Mbps and that was off of Apple's website and not a torrent.

690mb is that all?

I get 520MB on a 5MB line and that is max amount and i would guess a 10mb line would give you at least 800MB download.

Of course servers used will have an impact on that as well, but on average i get 460-500MB .. so is it worth paying for more?

Well considering my average before Shaw Extreme was about 120-190Kbps peaking at around 300Kbps on good days, yes, it is worth the extra $10. Also I get an extra 40gigs on my bandwidth limit which rules cuz then I don't have to worry as much about going over.

yea what is he talking about? even if he means kBps? it just sounds like he doesn't know what hes talking about.

a 10MB profile will allow for 1220kBps download speed. who know what hes talking about with "800MB download"

OMG are you ppl serious about thinking i can get 520MB on a 5MB service.... lol

It was a sarcastic post in which stating ... who cares about speed.

I get 520kb's on my 5MB line and average 460-480kb's on most torrent sites i go to.

On small files i can reach 533-540KB's download and at times 593KB's.

Basically half a meg as opposed to paying for shaw's 1mb download speed i save money and get my stuff in a little less time.... so what.

so why would you even make a pointless comment and actually make mistakes in it? now it just appears that you are trying to cover up the fact that you were messed up on the good stuff when you made the original comment

you you get half the speed. take twice as long to download. and what pay the same as regular shaw.... and i pay $10 more for
double what you have ... hmmmm /me thinks i am getting a much better deal

Madmax

I pay nothing for it.
