If it's a sidewall, some places won't touch it. It's illegal to patch a sidewall. Total Tire patched a sidewall for me years ago but made me sign a waiver.

It's illegal???

Sure.

Not practical but I would bet far from illegal. Plugs and boots are common and not very expensive. If it is your sidewall then Rick @ Total or Chris @ Chris' tire can/will sell you a used tre for a very resonable price.

Total tire definately has the best service in town for anything tire related.

I've dealt with Royal for a long time. They are really really good to thier customers.

I just had a flat tire on my jeep and while I was planning on replacing the tires before winter I didn't want to to it last week. I called Total and they said they had a "good" used tire to get me through till I was ready to do all of them. I took the tire to them and went and got a coffee. By the time I got back they had taken the old one off the rim put the used one on my rim and as soon as I got to the parking lot the fella came out and put it in my truck.

I didn't even look at it till after I paid --- as I got in my truck I was suprised to see that they had not only given me a tire in pretty good shape tread wise but they matched the the brand of tire. It was a goodyear wrangler and thats what they put back on my rim. So my jeep has 4 tires that match.

I was very pleased with thier service and price too, it cost me $40.

Total tire has always been fair and reasonable as is the guy next door to there when you have a problem with an alternator or starter, it's much cheaper than buying a rebuilt one..
