Are you getting married? Discuss here supplies, flowers, wines etc....All things weddings and wedding related shopping!

My first question...is anyone making their own bouquets? If so where are you getting your supplies from?

Hey Lizzardskills! I just joined the Facebook group and posted an ad -- I think it's wonderful that you're building a community info bank like this!

yes! I did join it now. :)

Has anyone looked into renting chair covers? I really want them, but have heard they are expensive, anyone find any good deals?

I really want real flowers, I have heard that A&P does real flowers and they have good prices and they look good, I hope there are lots of vendors at the wedding show coming up!

I am finally getting married next summer after almost 12 years of being together. I have found a lot of good deals on ebay but too scared to get anything yet. Any one get their wedding stuff from ebay?

You can do flowers yourself for a fraction of the cost, my friend did hers and I didn't even know it! I plan on using flowers from my garden if everything goes right. Not sure about the chair covers, but I do know you can buy stuff online to make your own bows on them.

So now that we are finally getting all the things together, ordered or reserved thought it would be time to bump this up.

We will be getting our flowers done by Flowers by Routledge's in the market mall. We will be doing our own bouquets using their roses. We have reserved the Verdi using their package that comes with decorations, dj and cake. The sister in law is doing the center pieces.

All that I have left to do is find a dress (going saturday), get the wine and a photographer and figure out what to do for wedding favors.

I am sure you can a lot ofthe supplies at dollar store.. The oasis, ribbons ect. the green sticky tape should be able to be found through a flower store.. its really not so hard to put flowers together and you will save a bundle!! I used to work in a flower shop many years ago and the mark up is crazy!!

Any one pick out their wedding dress yet?
I went today and found that perfect dress. Paid for it and could not be any happier with my selection. Had my mother in law there and thank god for her since she found my dress. Now that I found my dress I wish the wedding would hurry up and get here.

I was planning on getting mine yesterday :( But things change I guess. Wedding planning is going to be more emotional now.
