A year ago, people in the Sault were paying 96.4 cents per liter for home heating oil compared to a Canadian average of 85.2 cents; a difference of 10.2 cents.

Today we are paying 133.9 compared to a Canadian average of 109.8, a difference that is now 24.1 cents per liter.

I'd like to see the explanation for that one.

Actually, one year ago on my first fill up my oil price was 110./L This year in September on the 8th the first fill was 1.24/L (at the time gasoline was at 1.34). Your link says the price was 1.34 on that day for heating oil but I can tell you with certainty that it wasn't as I'm holding the bill in my hand.

Much the same with a certain propane supplier who pretty much has a monopoly now since King propane sold out, they are gouging everyone at will and the government says "free enterprise" they can do what they want.. nice huh??
The rich get richer, the fat cats get fatter..
