Sweden is the first country in the history of the sport other than Canada and the United States to compete in the finals of any international women's hockey tournament.

It's always Canada vs USA.
Competition is a good thing, it makes everybody better.
Womens International Hockey desperately needs to get better, so.....

Sweden barely won.

Winning in overtime is barely winning. Means both teams are equally good.
Winning in a shootout, means particular players are better than the goalie. Not so much a team effort.

Actually i'm not in denial.

Canada lost. BOO HOO :)

I don't boast when they win, nor do I cry when they lose.

Seems to me you're the one who is putting alot of emphasis on these games.

Oh, you don't care...that's why you had to try and find some silver lining in that huge black cloud of Canada's loss of hockey supremacy. :)

"Barely lost"

I told you, Canada will always be the team to beat.
I think we are safe.....for a while

NHL players by country of birth;
Canada 516
USA 178
Czech Republic 66
Sweden 45
Russia 41
Finland 39
Slovakia 31
Germany 8
Ukraine 7
Kazakhstan 6
Latvia 3
Belarus 3
Austria 3
Poland 3
All others 13
total ----962

So, we need to be further ahead than that?
That is as dominate as it gets, in any sport.
You could drop all the other countries and still have a good league.
No other country can say THAT, and actually deliver, so.....
We are the reason the league exists.

Losing 2 games in a "no name" tournament, isn't losing supremacy.
