Here are my latest runs with the build in my signature. I'm just curious to see what some of you others are getting with your new builds.

14.5k in 06 @ 3.2ghz. obviously the whole spider platform is much better than amd/nvidia together. guess ill be gettin rid of my gtx 260 and go for a 4870 or maybe a pair of 4850's. if the 4850x2 wasnt ridiculously priced id consider one of those

I got 16996 in '06 with my cpu @ 3.2ghz. The only hardware difference from my last score is a new mobo running two x16 slots instead of two x8 slots. With the cpu @ 3.3ghz she gets 17109.

New Vantage score...CPU 3.0GHz and the rest stock.

CPU going up 400-600MHz, RAM tightening and a mild OC on the already Superclocked GTX's will allow me to crack 20K in Vantage, not by much tho...

While not a new system by todays standards, it does what I need it to do.

I was wondering about the scores, until I noticed most of these are using 2 cards.
I don't feel that bad now, lol.

is that with your 4870? if so your speeds must be 780/1050? Cause ive got my 4870 @ 790/1100 speeds and the gpu scores are almost identical.

Well I'm glad I didn't upgrade yet or am in no hurry, your system is very nice and tops mine but it wouldn't justify all the money in upgrading when I scored over 20,000 in 06 myself.

This over my phenom x3 720 with a 4870 is a massive improvement. This all started out as a monitor upgrade, then realized the system chugged @ 1900x1200 with everything cranked. Also 3d rendering is a lot quicker over the 955 i breifly had.

How are the Asus LCDs? Like em?

I just finished a nice session of Borderlands cranked out with 3D Vision and all I can say is wow.

I haven't had this much fun with a game since I don't know when...

Also my plan is to go i5/i7, but not until after my next GPU upgrade. Once Fermi is out, it may be the wildest GPU of all time...if not, one big fat a$$ 5970 it is, possibly one 5870, but then I know it will be another twin before long...lol.

Love my asus LCD , the picture is extremely bright and crisp. Zero ghosting during gaming and no burn in. An i5 750 cranked up with 8gb of ddr3 1600 and a 5870 and your rocking. Finally got my nocutura in today and cranked my chip up to 4.2ghz.Rock stable and loving it with great temps (for a 1.6ghz overclock per core id say) of 38 idle 63 or so load.

Im extraordinarlily pleased with this toy. Aside from filling it up with more HDDs i cant see this machine needing anything more for some time. Maybe a 2nd 5870 down the road when a 2nd is needed and a lot cheaper then this one.Npw pulling 26k in 3dmark06 and resident evil 5 is running a cool 130fps with every setting cranked full tilt.
