Mario Galaxy is good
Zelda twilight Princess for the Wii

bouffant, its not necessarily that people want or figure they will lose weight using the wii fit. I have it and use it just because its fun! Its not just a regular wii game you actually get into it. Yes you have to set it up, it weighs you takes your BMI, and gives you a time frame to lose weight but its really just for fun and if you lose 5lbs while you have fun why not!

Last Tuesday my husband call Rogers Video and got his name put down and he was 5th on the list. Not more then 15 minutes later Rogers called to say our WII was in.
They get a few on every shippment.

lol i think some people are confused by the title, WII fit is a game, she is not asking for the actual WII she wants the game to exercise with it.

WII is mostly for the nerdy kids and even they get tired of it fast. I wouldn't waste my money on it

but the thing is,,, that many children don't do much else than play their video games, and are not open to it,,, so why not??,,, if they can get a little bit of cardio while having fun playing thier video games,, that is a good thing...i figure that it is better than none at all!!

maybe some parents should limit who much the kids play (video games) and kick them outside to play.

Some kids live in apartments and have nowhere to play

excuses ,excuses ....I lived in an apartment building when I was growing up and all the kids were outside playing all the time

SusyQ
12-05-2008, 11:16 PM
OUCH this hurts but I have too agree with Macs lol I live in an Apt. building and my 9 year old would rather go out too play than sit in and play a video game. There are quite a few kids here that play outside.

Strife
12-05-2008, 11:19 PM
Its sad to say but I agree with Macs on some of his points. Even if you live in an apartment there are parks scattered all around this city that kids can run and play and be fit and healthy. Although others have good points aswell. If a kid can get a decent workout from a game that teaches balance and fitness and is also fun, why the heck not. Wii Fit encourages people to set weight loss, or weight gain goals in some cases. That can be the extra motivation that some people need, not just kids.

chase_me
12-06-2008, 12:51 AM
Ok i am not saying that apartment kids have the right to sit and do nothing but i also know of a few places that the apts don't have a place for the kids to play and granted there are parks but i as a mother don't have the means to take my kids to the park all the time (i don't live in an apt my kids are outside all the time).

I have WII fit and my kids like it although i would much rather then be outside as would they. Can't climb a tree on wii fit lol

Roger's get shipments in every day at 1pm and call them around 3 to find out if any of the received items are what you are looking for and if you cant make it right away they will put one aside for you for one day max. Got one the other day for a snowboarding game for one of the kids...

There was someone selling one on sootoday for $200, I emailed them and told them they are ripping people off. This was before Christmas season. I feel sorry for whoever bought it, if they ended up paying $200. Future shop has had them for $99 for a while. I would wait till after Christmas, maybe they'll be on sale or at least stocked.

Got mine at Costco the DAY they came out, and it was $83. How can stores still possibly be selling them for $99. what a rip, and to anyone who buys them just to make profit, may karma come your way in a major bad way.

Do you need th regular Wii machine in order to use Wii fit? Like is it an attachment to the original, or is it fully functional on it's own?

not that video games for good, but it's a "healthier" choice as it does get the person playin up and moving. It's good for all ages, my 4 year old uses it, my 13 year old uses it, the hubby does, and we were looking for the wii fit for my dad so you figure it out.

We have a Wii, and the stigma wears off pretty quickly. I have not turned it on in two months. Keebler has only played it recently because he rented Shaun White's Snowboarding.

I would love to get a Wii Fit though. Seems like fun. (I should play a little bowling... :P)

Ok. I am at work at Telus in the Station Mall. I will sell it for what I paid for it. It's unopened, I bought it on Friday thinking my mother in law would want it for the Wii that I also stood in that freezing line for.

Someone pm'd me for it. But, I'll sell it for what I paid for it. I have a receipt, only problem is, the Wii is on there as well. I DID get a gift receipt, just gotta find it and I can't find it while at work.

But the Wii Fit is here. Come get it Nightingale. I will be honest, I was going to try to sell it for a profit, but I felt wrong trying to peel someone for extra cash around Christmas. I'm sorry :( I do take an Extra Large Steeped Tea Triple Triple tho. hahaha

I would rather see someone from here, kinda family, instead of just anybody getting one of the hot items this year. I have been told they are coming in on Tuesday. I will be at work on Tuesday and will even go with the person to pick it up if they give a hassle about it.

Some of the wii games are workout all on their own. The boxing can be a good arm workout. The first day after I played it I woke up and my arms were jello.
