Quick question....do they work on commission? I have a huge purchase to make today and I want to deal with the same guy who helped me a couple of months ago, if he will get commission on it.

Thanks.

Thanks...I will look him up then. He spent a lot of time with me, and was great, so I'd like to buy from him.

I gonna go with most 100% of the time except the department that sells games and software. They are like vultures when you walk n and don't leave you alone. Can I help you? Can i show you something? They follow you around....GRRRRRRRRRRRR I hate that

I spent almost 4 grand at Future Shop a couple months ago. Yet I've gone in there twice in the last few weeks and everyone seemed to be more interested in chatting amongst themselves than offering to help. I had to interrupt three salespeople in a private conversation once to get service. Not impressed at all.

Yet the fellow that helped us on our big purchase was awesome.

Well, it depends. A lot of people there are on a base wage but if their commissions work out to be higher than their base wage, they get their commission INSTEAD OF the base wage.

the thing that ticks me off the most is that you can spend a small fortune at a store and then they'll ask "Would you like a bag?" .

Well, the guy I wanted wasn't there, but I had a great experience and came home with a new MacBook and camera. I'm a happy camper.

You're lucky.

I went looking for the son of a friend. Gone.

Found out they cut his hours in half, and then fired him for not making enough.

Just my personal opinion....the OP was attracted to the sales-person.

Check with the local BBB (Better Business Bureau). I've been told there's been over 500 SPECIFIC complaints about this local retailer. And they opened when?......a year ago?

Makes you say... "Hmmmm????

What is OP?

And is there proof of that 500 specific complaints? How can one obtain this information?

I just searched the BBB website and there was nothing specific to this location. From teh complaints that I seen, they were resolved or Future Shop made every attempt to resolve the issue. As for "Just my personal opinion....the OP was attracted to the sales-person", thats a bold statement to make.

I loved the camera GUY that worked there!

And no, no one uses the word 'hip' anymore unless you're a senior and need the surgery.

Yeah, that's it....I wanted to give the guy my business cause I had a crush! Dur. I believe in rewarding people for a job well done. I love getting good customer service, and I wanted to do the right thing.

And no offence to the guy who worked there who helped me the first time, but he's not exactly my "type"....my husband is!
