Does anyone know if there are still any bank machines in this city that dispense multiples of 5 instead of 20, i know Macs on second line used to have one but they don't anymore and it was always so convenient.

nope i am pretty sure they are all 20 which is annoying when you don't want a whole 20 out, or don't have 20 in that account to take out lol

Maybe try purchasing something for a dollar, and asking for cash back. This also eliminates the service fees. Just a suggestion. Minimum amount is one dollar for a debit purchase...so the purchase must total at least one dollar...and most places offer up to $20.00 cash back....You can perform this more than once, however, the debit amount cannot be exactly the same amount both times from the same location.

Royal Bank Machine at Sault College beside bookstore hands out $5's and $10's (or it used to when I was there 2 years ago). Although, could be a bit out of your way!

sorry but there is NO bank machine in the city that hands out 5 anymore, it is only a minimum of 20 at any machine u go to unless u go to a store and ask for cash back..

There are some that give out 10's as well...but they are usually private machines inside establishments. I know the one in our school gives 10's but it's not open right now. ;)

You remind me of the days I wished I could buy a three-pack of beer. Couldn't afford a six-pack!

The one at the college does, it did it to me just last month, It was annoying at the time, so it's not true that none in the city do it.
It's ok if you are only taking out 20, but getting $60-$100 in 5's and 10's is a pain.

You take out $20 and it gives it to you in 5's.

Why would anyone want to take $5 out of a bank machine? When you have to pay .75 to $1.50 to withdraw money, regardless f the amount, doesn't it make more sense to take out the 20 at least?

I think it's the Royal Bank machine right by the bookstore they are talking about.

yeah I've never tried to take out just $5, but I do know that the royal bank machine gives me $5 and $10's so it probably does let you take out just $5 or $10.

The bank machine at the college doesn't always dispense five dollar bills. I was at the college today, and took some money out; I got a 20 dollar bill.

CC is there not an option to only take $5 out there though? That's the way that machine worked when I was there a few years ago.

It had the little buttons on the side to choose how much I wanted to withdraw, and they started at $20. I just started going to the college in September, and it was the first time I used the machine. As was mentioned, it may dispense five dollar bills when someone takes out $20 but it didn't for me.
