I thought it best to create a new thread.
52/48 split is not typical of a Champion of Manny's status.
60/40 minimum.....
Settling for 52% proves he loves what he does.
He is easy to like, a real Peoples Champion.

hopefully hatton will put up a better fight than de la hoya lol. but it looks like its going to be a great fight. I almost lost my love for boxing when i saw the de la hoya/pacquio fight as i watched the golden boy knock many many people out as i grew up watching boxing.

I don't think Manny 'settled' for 52... He knows whos bringing the money to this fight, and he's getting 52 of british pay per view as well... He may be the pound for pound, and a big favourite, but there is no way he would have gotten close to the guarnteed 12 mil. if he had of fought anyone else.

Now Jack, You know im a bit biased.... But Ricky is a popular guy, and the brits love him. He is the money, this is a going to be a great fight, hopefully Floyd will come out of retirement to face the winner...

Here is a piece on the negotiations.
Manny the businessman said no.....Manny the fighter said yes!
He deserves a 60/40 split, simply on pedigree.
Pacquiao means more on Hattens record at this point, than Hatten means on Pacquiaos

‘Let's get it on,' without the middlemen. You called me out, now I say we fight."
