so a friend of mine gave me two of these things cuz he has no clue what they do.

Neither do i.
From what i can tell it switches Fiber to Ethernet.

Model is E-100BTX-FX-05(SC)

One has the power cord - the other does not, although its a 9v adapter and should be relatively easy to find.

Have no idea what they're actually worth, or who they would be of value to, so i figured id ask some of the networking gurus.
ebay average seems about 200 each, with some stores charging more.

I don't want em taking up space anymore, and would very very likely take far less than what's being asked for these things on ebay..

It's used to put older switches that have no fiber access uplink ports on a fiber backbone. We use them at work at various locations.

well, got any use for 2 more?

i know they're worth some coin but ill let em both go for 50 cuz i just want em gone, they've been sittin here for about 6 months.

They only purchase from approved vendors, so that would not work in this case.
