anyone know of a good tube amp repair guy in the soo ,i have a 60s elk twin amp 45 head that volume drops off after it warms up

Holy Deja- vu man ! I had one of those about 40 years ago !

There is a guy in the east end name of Steve MacKay I believe, who works on tube amps. he lives on Williams St. 759-3359 I think.

Those are good little amps. Made in Japan as a fender clone.

Hard to find these days.

Steve is the man. I havn't needed him lately but I hope he is still active.

he fixed my Trace Elliot a few years ago..great guy..cheap price..:)

sounds good thks...funny a couple weeks ago i pulled an elk echo sonic amp out of the dump,it all lights up but no volume

Hey, if you pull anything more like that out of the dump, send 'em my way. They are real easy to work on as long as it isn't a power transformer problem and I could probably get it running.
