I saw the dog woman 3 times in the last week or so....She comes to Meadow Park VERY early in the morning and lets her dog "go". And she's not really worried about cleaning up after it!!!!

She's not the only one. Why do dog "people" insist on letting their dogs "go" in something that is called a "playground". Do they really think that a "playground" is for DOGS?

These are parks made for kids..........not for dogs.
I suppose dogs are welcome if they're cleaned up after...but they aren't.

Walk your dogs some place else...where there are no kids...please!

Dog people don't care where their dog [censored] or pees ..if its in their house or next door neighbors lawn .....they are generally dirty people anyway.
Some may argue this ...but I have never seen a clean house where there are dogs present .

Come on over, and I will show you a clean house with 2 dogs! Don't group all dog owners as the same. I will agree that there are $hitty "Pet" (not just dog )owners, But we are not all the same. My dogs are cleaned up after daily and as far as in the house I know how to use a vacuum, broom, and mop again DAILY!!
It's not dogs you hate it's dog owners! If you look at dogs that are not taken care of properly , you can look at the children of those same people and I bet they behave poorly aswell. Point being people get pets and have children and think they are who they are......No they are what you make them. It is up to us as pet owners and parents to mold and guide them in to well behaved , well mannered adults (weather it be people or pets )

I would think there are more responsible owners of dogs than those who don't care - or shouldn't have dogs in the first place. My question to Floyd is, why do you hate dogs so much? Have you ever had a dog? Dogs are the innocent ones here, some people just have no idea how to take care of their pets.

Floyd, I'm not going to gripe at you, I see people doing that all the time. I'm a dog owner, yes I clean up after mine. If I don't have a bag, I get one, even if it's from a stranger.

Next time you see her, holler at her and say,
"Excuse me, I noticed your dog just did their business and was wondering if you needed a bag to clean it up?, I have one right here, it's so nice to clean up after them, that way my kids don't end up with it on their shoes."

That is a nice enough statement and it isn't griping rudely, just making them know that someone is watching and expects them to clean up. It works, I've tried it. If they don't do it, take a picture and go to the city....but good luck in that department, they like to switch you around. By the way, it's the legal department.

Or you can take the owner over and rub her nose in it and say "BAD GIRL".

I like dogs...........my favourites are Welsh Corgis and Collies....and mutts.....But no one ever walks a mutt these days.

But dogs do not belong in a playground. And people that walk them are pretty good,,,,usually...about cleaning up after them. But they don't drag a wet-vac with them, do they? Looking out my kitchen window and seeing a pet owner letting her dog pee on playground equipment....IN THE SAND...is just wrong!

They should go somewhere else.....the dog won't mind!

As a dog owner I don't understand why you'd want to walk your dog around in a park where there are swings and slides not to mention the kids themselves. There are plenty of places to take them.

There's so much goose crap and duck crap surrounding the playground equip and on the grass that dog crap is the least of my worries..considering i havn't seen any yet-just wild animal feces.
I've taken my basset hound to the park and I had to keep her close by me and go around the goos ecrap like it was an obstacle course...and doooon't even get me started on children throwing garbage all over-Like I want my dogs mouth eating dangerous plastics. I think respect should be on both sides-with dog owners AND parenting. I had a child grab a muddy plastic bag from the water and place it on a twig and swing it around , spraying everyone with dirty , polluted water. It was so gross. I had to give my dog a bath after that b.c of her sore on her back-incase it got infected. I also saw a bunch of 12 year olds throwing stones at the ducks-more then three times(days) It's definitely not dogs that need to be leashed some times LOL.
But mostly my dogs so old she can't walk far at all, so she sleeps under a bench watching the geese.

maybe it's entertainment for them I also like to see them pick it up and carry it around like they won a price or something...it must them make so proud. /ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/lol.gif

I bet some of them take it home and put it on a fireplace mantel and the whole family gathers around to look at it and enjoy the aroma.

yes, and i'm sure parents of children freeze their baby's poop and mount it on the shelf also.

babies don't poop on other peoples lawns or playgrounds....maybe we need doggie diapers /ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/lol.gif

You wouldn't change your baby and then throw the dirty diaper on someones lawn or playground so why let your dog do it and think it's ok.

Larimar
06-30-2007, 11:10 PM
That's what yoouu think! lol I used to livebut have moved- in the West end near Sharps hill and ppl would throw their baby diapers over into the feild BESIDE our house!!

and once i saw a kid at the beach running around naked and pooped in the water, it's one of the big reasons I hate going to the beach now lol. and just b.c a baby doesn't poop freely out of a diaper doesn't mean I don't have to smell it when they do it in a playground :p

This is going no where..the dog people win!
I don't think anyone is letting (or telling) their kids to poop in the water......
Dog people walk by my house and let their dogs pee on my light post...........where the flowers are planted.

They aren't doing it maliciously.....they just think (FOR SOME ODD REASON) that its ok to do that! WELL, IT ISN'T!
CAYENNE PEPPER WILL TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM! I planted my flowers and cayenne pepper was added. The dog will be very uncomfortable for awhile! Sorry........it's not the dog's fault.
