Well, I'm hardly going to repeat it here....we're getting off topic! You must have had your nylons pulled up too tight, if you don't remember.

I don't know, but it appears that someone has kidnapped his sense of humour!! Just thought I'd throw a dig in at him like the old days when the girls used to bug him about stuff....sorry Loq. Have a nice day!

Hahahahhahaaa...thanks Suzy Q, but I can deal with Loq's PMS!! It's not like him to be so *****y, so I'll forgive him this once. /ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif You'd think we'd never joked with him before....

*pokes head in* Hey all, Sara just poked me to let me know I should drop by -- I've been away from the board for a few months now. I perform spiritual or civil weddings, all fully legal, at a location of the couple's choice (and often on pretty short notice -- I'm just about to leave for a wedding I booked a week ago!). I'll check in on the thread when I get home.
As far as getting ahold of me: email is best. Drop me a line at amanda(dot)zuke(at)gmail(dot)com, and I'll try to get back to you as close to "right away" as possible.
And Shanny: *big hugs* Thanks for the endorsement! I enjoyed doing your wedding so very, very much!

Any justice of the peace can do it, anywhere you'd like it done, if you can talk them into doing it. Many years ago, in a previous life (aka; marriage), I had a JP marry me at a nudist resort. No, it was not a naked wedding, just a very beautiful setting.

He also renewed my parents vows for us at their March anniversary party and he was an awesome man and was very decently priced, we were very impressed.

I attended a ceremony done/officiated by a man a few years ago. Not sure if he was the one from the Bay or not. I was mortified by the words used in the ceremony, I'm hoping it's not his usual way.
I found it to sound very degrading, stating that "she" was to obey her husband and view him as she would Christ and respect and honour him, but nothing in the way of the new husband respecting her. It didn't sound anything like any wedding ceremony that I've heard before.
Just please have them discuss everything thoroughly with the person officiating so that there are no "surprises". I would've smacked someone for wording things the way I heard....wow.
I went to one like that as well Loopy, she was my best friend all through elementary school I was mortified when I heard the surmon.
Thats really good advice to discuss everything, just to be on the safe side.
