Did some teeth shift back?

I'm going to assume some of your teeth are starting to shift back. It's something you may want to visit your orthodontist about.

No my teeth arent' shifting. I have a permanet reatiner on the top and a clear one to wear at night on the bottom... I had braces when i was younger and didnt wear my retainer and my top teeth shifted, so i just had the top teeth re did because teh bottom were still fine.. So they did a permanent retainer on the top and my top jaw is killing me. i can't open my mouth and tylenol is killing me and i can't take ibpurofen. i can hardly open my mouth...

My jaw gets really sore sometimes too. I have never had braces though. I am not quite sure why though.

try ice packs on your jaw.

Who is your orthodontist? I had Floreani when I had my braces and he said that my jaw will be a bit sore because even with permanent retainers, your teeth still settle in their final spots and your gums need to set in too. Floreani is a great orthdontist and his staff is amazing.

3 Of my grands had him too. But I can't remember them complaining about their jaw.
