Can anyone comfirm if Gene Simmons is going to be here in July?

Some people are saying no, he will not be at the Kewadin concert.

Can anyone confirm this with a link?

Gene was just on a show on CBC where he talked about the upcoming show here. The official KISS website had notes on there from Gene talking about the upcoming show.

Gene will be here.

You knew these rumors would start as they show date came near. That's all I heard this weekend is how this person or that person heard this reason or that reason why KISS isn't coming up.

People just need to relax and quit putting all their negativity into things.

I think a lot of people get mixed up by the revolving door that has been KISS members since 1980.

Peter Criss (drummer) is not with the band. Eric Singer is now the band's drummer (he is also Alice Cooper's drummer, so he'll be here twice in three weeks). Ace Frehely (lead guitar)is not with the band. Tommy Thayer has taken his place.

As legendary as the original four were, I can tell you without reservation they are a stronger lineup today. Ace and Peter just have too many issues with the rock star lifestyle, and became a drag on the band more than anything positive.

Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley are with the band. And for all intents and purposes, they were always the two biggest presences on stage during any era of KISS.

KISS will be here, just hope for good weather.

From the official KISS site:

"Thank you for all of your emails concerning KISS' upcoming Summer shows! Many of you are asking about the venue and ticket details, so here they are!!

Kewadin Casinos in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan on July 20. Tickets are available via the Internet by clicking here or by phone at 1-800-KEWADIN (539-2346).

Rock Fest 2007 in Cadott, Wisconsin on July 21. Tickets are available via the Internet by clicking here or by phone at 1-800-326-3378.

The band is very excited about the response to these shows and have decided to let the fans vote on a song that KISS will perform at all three. A list of 10 or so songs is currently being compiled and will include songs that KISS has never performed in concert. KISS will perform the song that receives the most fan votes! In the next week or so we will post the list on KOL - along with instructions on how to vote."

I just heard about the Alice Cooper show .. not gonna miss that either.

Eric Singer is the hardest working drummer on the road .. he is on tour with Alice Cooper in July .. and will leave the tour for Brent Fritz to finish so he can return to KISS for the few shows then back with ALice cooper for more shows.

Can't wait to see him bash the skins

I'll second that! Seen him when he opened that bar up across the river years ago. Don't remember what it was called now. Didn't like him then either, husband did.
