Rumour has it that the next big expansion after this one will be the Walmart Medical Centre & Organ Bank with multi-bay Cat Scan and MRI departments.

Truly the ultimate in one-stop shopping!

I love Walmart and can't wait for this. When I lived in Toronto they had the best prices and freshest food around.

hard to believe there are union companies building the place, meanwhile, any walmart that has went union / tried to go union was stopped and or closed.

Couple of things, it isn't a supercenter per say. The actual supercenter will be built across the river, and is about 5 times as big as ours with the expansion.

Second, unions kill companies. Perfect example of why the Walmart union was stopped or closed.

union work is only for anything that is inside of the building any work done to the exterior does not have to be union workers.

I'm sorry union don't kill companies. If we did not have unions our jobs would not be protected and I know I would not be paid as well as I am. Granted sometimes they don't help as much as they should but I'm a proud member of the operators union

They already started digging the ground to begin construction on the new part.

SuperCentre across the ditch..is that that big new store built just off the main road already?

Thats weird. If you do a good job, and you are one of the best at it, why would you need job protection?

Most construction companies don't have a sinority list but when your unionized they can't bring in someone that will work for a lesser rate thus this gives you job protection. But if you are not doing a good job even the union can't help you

Toyota and Honda are non union and they are not bankrupt. People are still working there and are satisfied with the money they are making.
