I just went to bring my boys to the movies across the river, pulled up to the toll, handed the girl my usual 2.00 American and she informs me that it is now 2.50 to get across the bridge. I had no idea that the rate went up. I can't believe it jumped so much, and why couldn't they make the Canadian amount something somewhat even, instead of 2.95. What a pain in the butt. Sorry about the rant but I think this is ridiculous

The last time the rates went up, I loaded up my toll card with about $40 worth of crossing before the rates went up, and they honoured the old price. Thsi time, they have just given each card a dollar value, and when it's empty it's no good any more. I will need to get the proxy card to get a discount after.
