First of all the fireworks were awesome!!! My complaint is with the idiotic drivers in this town. I'll tell you one thing, we have some of the most inconsiderate drivers I've ever seen. Trying to get out of the Station Mall parking lot was a nightmare. I don't know how many drivers I saw cutting off others just for the sake of 6 feet. Instead of having a little consideration for other drivers they would sooner stick to someone's bumper rather than let somebody out. I don't know how many times I saw this happen. Is it getting to be where we have to have a traffic cop directing every move and reminding people how to be considerate?? If we ever had a serious need for evacuation in this town, everyone would be lost, just as they are when 1 traffic light is out.

Why should they act any different there? We have about the worst drivers anywhere.

I've lived in Southern Ontario and I would much rather drive there than here. I didn't realise how bad it was here until I moved back. It's all a big race here to get nowhere. Would it kill you to use signal lights?

I'd just love to see the cops put down their Timmies and do their job. If there were blitzes here on speeders, those who run the red light and my favorites the tailgaters thing might improve, till then it will continue to be a free for all.

Last night on my way home from the fireworks my 22 month old was sleeping. We were stopped at a red light. The light turned green and the stupid fooking idiot decided too squeal his tires and scared my daughter who then woke up screaming. It wasn't teenagers neither it was a man in his 40's.

I let several people out last night. I was almost to St. Mary's drive, coming out of the Zellers parking lot, and I had left a space for the next person to come out, and another vehicle drove around her as she waited, and took her spot right infront of me. I couldn't believe the nerve of this guy. Of course he wouldn't make eye contact with anyone either. The girl and I were just looking at him and each other shaking our heads. What an ignoramous.

There was a stunned bunny in a white car by Zeller's last night, I was tempted to take her keys and throw them in the river. She had to be either stoned or drinking because nobody is that bad a driver. The high point was when she yelled profanities at me because I had the nerve to honk my horn at her while I was right behind her at the stop sign and she decided to throw her car in reverse.

That is why I grabbed the kids and left the parking lot before the finale was over. I am glad I did. They watched it as we were making our exit before anyone else.

lol, why do you guys bother to go see 20-30 fireworks then leave?? the whole point was to go down there, and watch them, and you're leaving half way through?? lol

I think the point was she was trying to avoid the animal act after the fire works.

Exactly Grumpy!! And no I didn't leave half way through. We left as the finale was beginning. Infact, by the time I had the kids strapped in and left the parking lot, they saw the whole thing. Nothing wrong with getting out of there before the traffic and getting the kids to bed rather than sitting in a parking lot for an hour trying to get out. I thought the fireworks were great and the kids had a great time too.

Thats not nice Macs you shouldn't make fun of the mentally challenged. Its not their fault that they read somewhere that its cool to wait in line for mediocre (at best) coffee.

Every year we park at Zellers and exit via the Dennis Street lights. There is never much of a wait. We follow the lights all the way home but go up North Street Hill and down Second Line rather than Wellington West. It's a bit longer distance to drive but a lot faster when you consider that the traffic on Wellington West was backed up from Carmens Way all the way to Gore. We got in our car at 11:10 after a relaxing walk down the board walk and the kids were home and tucked in bed by 11:30.

Last night the traffic was crazy...it took us over a good 30 minutes to get home and we are a 5 minute drive from the boardwalk. Mind ya we sat there and let a lot of the people out that were coming out of the Station Mall parking lot. There is no reason as to why no one shouldnt just allow the extra time and be nice like that. But that is me personally.

I was in Ottawa and including the 8 block walk through 1000's of people off the Hill to our car, it was less than 25min to get out to our hotel in Kanata.

People knew how to drive... not trying to make a left out of the parking lot, and just going right... stopping to let a pile of people cross the street... yielding for the city buses, ect.

The Sault has problems with stupid drivers in the BEST of conditions. Why not just save yourslef the hassle that you all know will happen and walk/take the bus?

Last time I saw the fireworks from the mall, a guy was tailgating my bumper and honking his horn at me, so I stopped at the Sears entrance and let abou 50 cars out in front of me. Hope he learned his lesson that day, lmfao
