I am buying a new camera and wondering what you think of this one for a beginner
NikonD60 10.2 MP dslr. I have no knowlege with cameras and just starting out. Wanting to learn basics...I have a canon sure shot now so this is much different

im curious too. I love taking pictures and i want learn how to take them properly , and the basics as well.. any help would be much appreciated. :D.. please pm me

Personally, I took the course at Sault College when I got my Canon XTi. I chose the canon because it seemed like a good brand, and I knew someone with one, which made it easier to learn, and also to exchange lenses with.

I'm working on getting either the Canon XSi or the Canon T1i....I prefer canon, cause that's what I've always had. A high end point and shoot can allow you to learn and you can move on to a real DSLR, that way you have the option of still using it as a point and shoot until you are comfortable with the dslr. That's what I did...
