algoma health unit has a sexual health clinic. they can treat it there and help answer any questions. if it's a girl she will be at risk cervical cancer. not all forms of hpv come with warts.

Algoma health unit, and Google it, read everything you can from all sources possible and make decisions accordingly...it could happen to anyone.

there are many many different strains of HPV. some produce warts, some do not.
find out which strain she has and research it. her Dr would be her best bet for info tho.

in the past, a few years ago the doctor would 'burn' off a layer of skin from the cervix. it wouldnt be too awefully painful, but not pleasant either. apparently it got rid of the virus or at least the cells that may become cancerous.

yes they do that if you have abnormal pap test results.

It is becoming more and more common! I personally have never had it but know of three friends who do. They all have a "regular" sex life etc... She should check with her Dr. I think they said statistically speaking 1 in 4 women will get it. That's a lot, the biggest concern being that some can cause cancer.
