will that card run without a pci express power? i have been curious to try out an nvidia card for physx apps, but i got a crap power supply lol.

it needs it
It needs a PCI express connector, but there is an adaptor included when you don't have one.
It really depends on your PSU. My current PSU powers a 4870, which requires 2 PCI express connectors. Since my PSU only has 1, I used an adaptor to create the second one.
Since you have a 650 and I got a 520 Watt, you would have to look how much you have left to determine if it's possible or not.

i was asking bout the power requirements cause i remember with the older nvidia cards you could run them without additional power, but they would perform at a minimal level. Cant seem to run any more power hungry hardware anymore as my machien gets pretty flaky. Guess its time for a new psu soon.
Hans, does your 4870 require a 6 + 8 pin power connector? mine does for some odd reason.
free bump for you though
Mine requires 2 x 6 pin connectors. I went with the XFX HD 4870 XXX 775MHZ 1GB HD487AZHDC. It was a bit more then the Powercolor one, but I liked the XFX brand. That and it's factory over clocked.
