There are hockey schools that you could watch?
If you can figure out where and when, most of the guys that play out of town, in the O or wherever, play together.
The times I watched, it was really good!
Just a thought......I hear ya!

They gained nothing monetarily. It's just that the Hounds didn't like Q104's support away from the game.

And I hear the Hounds have been inundated with angry letters over this.

It does matter, and you are proof. You follow me around, and try to repond to all I say.

So to use your logic, you are wasting your time responding to someone who's opinion does not matter.

What does that say about you?

And let me ask...if the LSSU Lakers had EZ Rock broadcasting their games, what would you say about that?

Jack said the Eighties...he's wrong, of course.

I'd say it's been since about the mid-Nineties. Around the same time they started saying "half-boards", which is just as dumb.

Ya, I know...American get left out of a lot of things!
As per your record, individually or as a country.
As Burke says, "no one will pick the USA to win"!
So.....take your pick!
I heard it at the rink, not on TV, not from people outside the game.
No one was in an arm chair in the arenas in those days...the peanut gallery was small to non existent.
It was the 1-3-1 or the 1-4 and the fear of the middle of the ice....everything up the wall!
It was the beginning of the statagey what got labelled the trap.
The first sign in the NHL of what got called the "trap" as a strategy or a system was Montreal in the 70's.
You heard it when TV started to use it, that's OK, he, he, he!
Nice defence of Crawford, ha, ha, ha!

Some things never get better. Friday at the evening scrimmage they announced some player changes. All around me I heard "what did he say?". The one thing I hope was improved is the clock. If they have to add or shave seconds from the clock it is a major undertaking. They usually have to shut it down and re-start the system. Now some good things. It was great to see "alumni coachs" behind the bench. Trevor Daley, Josh Godfrey and Tyler Kennedy sure helped the young fellas play their best. You could see them having fun behind the bench. I think we are going to have a real good team this year. I sure wouldn't want to be the guy that has to tell certain players, sorry, we can't use you this year. Go Hounds Go.

the sound system that they use for the game either sucks big time or whom ever they have to do the announcing has a mouth full of marbles or a combination of both. They might as well not try to announce anything.

Only if you want it to be ruined, just put the offender on ignore and all of a sudden the thread is good again. There is a certain member who just loves to ruin threads and will go on them and just cause trouble. What I can't understand is why people fall for the bait each time, just put him on ignore and enjoy the thread. One good thing about this year's team is that no matter how bad they are they can only be as bad as last years and no worse as once you are at the bottom you can't do any worse.

I don't see the big deal.
There is only so much you can say this time of the year.
If you can't put up with a little arguing or debating or fighting in the sport section, maybe it's not for you?
Without the fighting, as you call it, the thread would have slipped off the page.

Wow. Thirteen players gone after Friday night's scrimmage. The hard part for me was that six of the players I had picked as "keepers" were gone. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Red & White game. Not bad. We certainly have some good fighters. Now, if we could only get some goal scorers. Time will tell. I'm still excited about the new season.
