This is right up my alley....
Sometimes they are. You get a more even tan with a stand up. I usually switch from a lay down to a stand up. I also find the stand up not as hot as the lay down which is nice.

OH I LOVE tanning!!!! and yes I know it's not good for the skin but I don't care!
I don't use the beds in the summer but the hubby likes me to keep it up in the winter. /ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/blush.gif

I stay away from tanning beds, and protect myself while in the sun, I work in the Medical field and have seen first hand what it can do to you, down the road. /ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif I've always wondered about the spray tanning, anyone ever done that?

i am allergic to the sun and have to wear sunscreen, but i know the weather will be very, very hot at the stugis rally so i thought i better at least get a base.

I've never gone to the beds, I'm kinda scared to use them (Final Destination 3 anyone?) I don't wanna turn out all leathery lol. I'm always pasty, so my tan comes in a bottle. I've tried many different products, and I'm using this Sublime Glow stuff from L'Oreal, it gives me a natural looking glow and a nice shimmer as well. /ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif I like it, but it's hard to do the back lol!
How ya been Harley? You going to Kiss?

Everyone should have a little bit of sun it's good for vitamin D. Also helps with depression.

Yeah this stuff is a lotion, so its hard to do my back, my next experiment is the fine spray mist tan :P. It's hard to find the right product, I'm always trying different ones to see whats the best. They're not cheap either. I should give the beds a try though, once wont hurt! /ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Very true :), it's the over--exposure I'm talking about, I've seen some VERY scary (irreversible)things as a result of tanning.

LMAO yeah I don't do ANYTHING that requires hand-eye co-ordination while intoxicated, baaaaad idea, I especially wouldn't let the bf do it, he can barely stand when he's drunk! /ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif /ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
