My daughter just called from her cell. She is just past Bruce Mines, And the traffic is all backed up. I called OPP, and there is a accident at Centre Line. But they wouldn`t give any details, or say how long the wait would be. Does anyone live down that way that might know what happened? I hope it isn`t bad, and that everyone is ok! Just wondering if she should wait it out, or try to take the back way? I told her to wait it out....

Thanks...but it says no detour, we told her if she wanted to go the back way, to turn around, go back to Bruce Mines, turn left at the caution light...., then what? I really don`t know the area.

I called her and told her , at the moment she says she thinks she will wait it out. She`s afraid of getting lost. And I know shes tired, shes on her way back from Toronto. I am keeping your directions in case she calls back and asks for them. Thanks again. I hope everyone will be okay. It must have been a good size deer....

Easy one is follow Highway 638 from Bruce Mines to Echo Bay. It's 46km though, at 80kph.

I'm lucky I missed that. We went through there about an hour before the accident.
I feel sorry for your daughter too. I drove back from Hamilton yesterday and the QEW was a mess. The 400 was stop and go. Very slow moving and then an accident closed it for a while just after we got through. Friggin' Massey had Highway 17 closed for half an hour for their community day or something. Traffic backed up for miles.
It was a very long drive yesterday. Got their in a little under 8 hours and took about 10 hours to get back.
