He got life, how does it stink? You want the death penalty?

Seems like the province could care a less.
How do you get to 19?
...wonder if the Feds could do something, with repeat offenders that would automatically supersedes anything the Province has or at least be added to the sentence.
Somebody is not paying attention.
Not labelling him dangerous is ridiculous...I mean it's embarrassing when you hear crap like this.

What sucks is it should be three strikes and you're out, not 19 shots till you kill someone in a wheelchair. He shouldn't have had a license in the first place.

Only in Canada. how about a few life sentences instead. since one life sentence is what 20-25 years and you only do one third of your time. should be out in 7. never mind how many injuries or lives someone like this takes.

In addition to the life sentence, Walsh was also sentenced to two years for the additional charges he faced - hit and run causing death and probation violations.

I don't see anything about 7 years in there anywhere, except.

Walsh would have had a chance, either way, to seek parole after seven years; the difference with dangerous offenders is that once they're freed they're monitored more strictly and, if they reoffend, they can then be locked up indefinitely.

But he isn't getting the chance. No offense, but did you read the article? LOL

Sure hit a lady in a wheelchair and hit and run. On top of that he had over 100 assault charges. Thats not dangerous?????

I didn't say it wasn't dangerous. I just don't understand how you got that he was only getting 7 years.

There are those poor parents in Brampton Ontario, who had a teenager stab and kill their son, by the time the courts were done, he got something like 7 years, subtract the time he already spent in there, because that reduces his time, and then give him the additional 1/3 of your time speal, and voila, this teen murderer walks out of jail after something like 8 months.

http://www.thestar.com/article/692530#survey

the killer stabbed the other teen 5 times. so what does this teach our children.
there is no justice in canada

When a person shows that much determination he should be properly recognized and rewarded. With the death penalty not an option then PERMANENT incarceration should come into play, say around the tenth time or so. Where is the deterrent? Where is OUR protection.
Bleeding heart liberals have placed us all, each and every one in jeopardy. He should get life. She got death. One should be as permanent as the other.

I agree whole heartedly. I didnt use to. but if you take a life, you should lose a life, specifically when it is murder, and alcohol is not an excuse. it was a choice made.
