Its funny, we were just talking about that, a relative got a call something like that, except he won a seadoo, they needed his credit card number to ship it to him. He played along and said, no, I'll come pick it up. Then he actually heard the guys doorbell ring in the background. I guess he pissed the caller off so much by the time he was done with him, the caller hung up on him.

i had a call like that, this women from universal studios ( thats what showed up on my caller id) told me i won, she was excited for me, said this is a great trip congrates blah blah blah then said may i have ur credit card number, im like, i dont have one, she stumbled in words sounded all confused, asked if i had any sorta credit cards when i said o i dont she said, im sorry u dont qualify for this without a card #, im like well u just told me i wont and i m on my way on my trip all excited now u sound confused and she hung up on me..lol.. scam artists thats all

I got a call about this awhile ago, and came on here to ask if anyone else had. Apparently it's legitimate. A Soonet member was working part-time making some calls for the company. I believe it was ADT Security....anyway, it wasn't so much a scam as a business tactic to get you to sign up.

Adigirl, the ADT security thing is legit. YOu get the equipment free, but you have to sign up for 2 year contract paying $50 a month for the usage of the service. Plus have there sign displayed in your front lawn.

Now, the Caribbian thing, i got a call for a free trip as well, they said press this blah blah blah.

I pressed it, and it rang and rang and an operator picked up and she explained the cruise to me.

Its a buy one get one free, I got the free stay for 5 nights, I just had to payu for the 5 previous nights!!!!! same with the boat and the casino packages.


Anyway, I got my phone bill and there was nothing abnormal on it.

I also do this.
Funny thing is I just got a call 10 mins ago from a phone number that was 1-416-000-0000. I just hung up when I didn't hear anything after I said hello. Strange number tho.
