Repost the second link as a link, not a cut and paste :) It cuts off a lot of it.

I read the first one the other day, I cringed just thinking about carrying around a 19 lb baby.

Good thing she had a C section..
The world record is 22 pounds.

I feel so sorry for the woman who carried this baby for 9 months and it is not hers. Implants have their set backs.

wow... being implanted with someone elses baby? that must have been really difficult for that lady. i hope that the people who made that mistake have paid all the medical bills for her pregnancy and birth, along with some sort of restitution for all the feeling sick and stretchmarks that go along with pregnancy, not to mention lost wages. i hope that wasn't this couples last chance to have a baby. that would really make it that much worse.

unless you use a turkey baster, then you don't even need a man! well, just for the 'donation'. lol

and yet his contribution would still be more fun

I guess it is a bitter sweet moment. One family gets the child they wanted, and the other family is still left empty. I don't know how anyone could carry a baby knowing it is not theirs and then have to give it up. It is nice that they actually decided to carry the baby for the other family. I thnk i would need a huge amout of therapy.

Actually it was the last chance for the woman who carried the baby, due to her health and the issues she suffered during this pregnancy she will not be able to carry her own child.

Sorry it was difficulties in earlier pregnancies and her health

"Carolyn Savage won't have another chance to carry her own baby because of her age and difficulties during her earlier pregnancies. She and her husband plan to hire a surrogate and try again for a fourth child"

some may find this very odd, But I would if I could carry someone elses child.

I would be a seraget mother, with somethings in mind.

One this person would have to be very close to me, Not a complete stranger.

The only thing I would ask is any medical visits with the dr I would only want to know If there was something wrong in the pregnacy that I would have to fix to better the babys health I would not want to hear heart beat, or ultrasounds.

I would not want to know sex, weight, etc, I would also ask they put a curtian up while I gave birth and remove the baby from the room and allow the new mother to be with it.

I will Only ask that I still carry on the relationship with the family to see the child grow.

This has been something in my life that was thought about and talked about with one close friend I have, as she is not sure she can have kids.

But now after Me having 3 and all 3 pregnacys being terrible ill And Hypertension, with very fast deliverys all pretty much natrual, I would not do it and not cause the pain in delivery but because IM so sick leading up to delivery.

It would be nice of the women who is carrying the baby for the other women had the other women carry a baby for her. Of course using her own embryo. Sorta like returning the favor?
